Do you ever think about how short life can be?
Are you living your passion?
Do you feel that you are doing exactly what you were sent here to accomplish in your lifetime?
Many people don't start thinking about what or who is important to them until they suffer a great loss. Once you or someone you love is gone, you have lost the opportunity to live the life you were meant to live. What would you like to change in your life?
Once you allow yourself to think "outside of the box" and truly embrace the concept of how you will be remembered, this exercise has the power to help you see where you are off track in your current life. If you want to be remembered as a great baseball player, how often are you practicing baseball? If you want to be remembered as a great artist, how are you practicing your art?
Here is an example of what this exercise might look like:
As I look out on all of the faces of those of you in attendance, I can’t help but smile that Jack Canfield has come to pay his respects. Jack, Nancy really admired your work and was always the first in line to help promote you and your books!
I hardly know where to begin; Nancy was such an inspiration to so many women and once she determined her life’s mission, there was no stopping her.
Nancy’s mission statement was to encourage women to improve their health, value their “self” and increase their wealth. One of Nancy’s favorite sayings was, “A Man Is Not A Plan!” Nancy truly encouraged women to find their gifts and build a business around what they loved to do because she knew that when women have financial independence, they are able to make the better choices.
When I think about what Nancy would love to be remembered for, I know that a big part of her happiness came from being a mother and grandmother. Nancy learned many things about being a mother long after her children had moved away and had children of their own. When it comes to being a mother, Nancy felt confident that only after learning to love herself, did she begin to truly enjoy the bonds of motherhood and her advice to mothers everywhere was always, “Love yourself first!”
Whether she was traveling, speaking to women’s groups or sharing her message on the radio Nancy loved encouraging women to believe in themselves. By sharing her story, Nancy has been able to help thousands of women understand their story, make the necessary changes and live their life to the fullest.
I am sure that wherever Nancy is, she is Partying Like Purple!
Ok, now it is your turn. Give yourself permission to write your own Eulogy and then read it and be honest with yourself. Are you living the life you want to be remembered for?
I hope this blog has given you something powerful to think about and the next time you are wondering if you are living your life "on purpose" think of this exercise and you will know if you are on the right track!

My Mission: To encourage women to improve their health, value their "self" and increase their wealth!
In his 2014 commencement address at the MUM Graduation, Jim Carrey talked about getting what you want out of life...
"The imagination is always creating scenarios, both good and bad and the ego tries to keep you trapped in the multiplex of the mind. Our eyes are not viewers they are also projectors that are running a second story over the picture that we see in front of us all the time. FEAR is writing that script, and the working title is: I’ll Never Be Enough
If you listen to the voice of your ego, there will always be someone else doing something better than you. No matter what you gain the ego will not let you rest. It will tell you that you cannot stop until you’ve left an indelible mark on the earth, until you’ve achieved immortality. How tricky is the ego that it would tempt us with something that we already possess?
Let the Universe know what you want while letting go of how it comes to pass. Your job is not to try to figure out how it’s going to happen for you, but to open the door in your head and when the door opens in real life, just walk through it and don’t worry if you miss your opportunity because there are always doors opening. They keep opening until you are ready to walk through them. You are ready and able to do beautiful things in this world and after you walk through that door, you will only ever have two choices, “Love” or “Fear” – Choose Love and never let FEAR turn you against your playful heart!"
Oprah Winfrey said, “I had no idea that being my authentic self could make me as rich as I’ve become. If I had, I’d have done it a lot earlier.”
When I thought about her statement, I realized that for many years, even Oprah must have had limiting beliefs that held her back. There must have been certain habits or limiting beliefs that held her back from success during her early years as a broadcaster. At the age of 19, she became the youngest person and the first African-American woman to anchor the news in Nashville!
When you think about Oprah’s success in life, do you think that she had some kind of advantage in life that less successful people didn't? Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be Oprah?
Just think, you could:
Every person has a story, some stories enrich our lives and some stories are full of limiting beliefs that hold us back from reaching our true potential.
When we tell ourselves that we can do, be or have anything we want, that is a story that moves us toward success in our life.
When we tell ourselves that we will never make enough money, we will never be healthy, we don’t fit in, we will never be good enough, or we will never find the right partner; these stories and others like it, hold us back from our true potential.
When you see someone who you think is successful, what is your first thought? Is it:
The truth is, we all have the power to succeed in life!
More often than not, the only thing holding us back are the stories we tell ourselves about why we CAN’T do something instead of concentrating on why we CAN do something
Why I Decided To Come Out - My Story
Growing up, my 2 constant companions were FEAR & ANXIETY! My fear came from constant anger and abuse from my parents and the anxiety came from trying so hard to be good so their anger and abuse would be directed to someone else instead of me!
I was never very successful at keeping them from being angry and abusive towards me, but I got very good at blaming myself for “not being good.”
My mother would often look me straight in the face and say,
At one point I finally got it, I accepted that I was nothin, that I was worthless and that I would never amount to anything. It was really hard for me to understand why I had been born. I used to cry and ask God why I was still alive if I was so worthless. And then I would cry more because he never answered me!
Soon, feeling worthless became my belief and
Over the years, this truth became my story of who I thought I was and what I could OR COULD NOT could accomplish in my life.
When a child is told something often enough, he or she soon believes it to be truth.
My truths included:
When I was in my twenties, there was an event in my life that was a total "game changer" for me. This event helped me to look at who I thought I was in a different way. The story that I had been telling myself my whole life began to change. Today, I show other people how to change their story. How to eliminate the limiting beliefs that are holding them back from the the success they want in their life.
Not everyone is ready to change their story but if you are one of the many people who has decided its time to change your story, CLICK HERE to listen to why I decided to Come Out and how I changed my story. Inner Strength is:
As women we are using our Inner Strength every single minute of every single day and yet, many of us find that we don't always use our Inner Strength in a way that fills us up and propels us forward.

First, you have to plant the tree
First, you have find a group
Second, you weed and fertilize
Second, you will want to put in exactly what you want to get out of it
Third, it lays dormant for awhile
Third, you are not sure if this is the right group for you
Fourth, you start to see buds
Fourth, you start to feel as though you are connecting with other members
Fifth, the buds bloom into beautiful roses
Fifth, as you work together, everyone in the group prospers
Nothing happens overnight. Just as one bloom does not a tree make, one person does not a group make
TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More ~There is no "I" in the word TEAM.
When you start networking with the attitude of "what can I do for you" instead of "please buy my product or service" the energy of the group will shift and your group will be as successful as the rose bush ~ one rose is beautiful, a bush FULL of roses is a sight to behold!
I was talking with someone I met at a networking event yesterday and as she was giving me a list of reasons about why she was having challenges with her business. As she stood there complaining, I was reminded of an event from my childhood.
I was 9 years old, standing in the kitchen watching my mother prepare dinner. As she was stirring something on the stove, my father came home, walked up behind her, put his arms around her waist, and handed her a little black velvet box.
As I watched my mother open the box with wide-eyed amazement, wondering what treasure might lie inside this little black box, I could hardly contain myself. Presents weren't a common thing in our home and through childhood dreams of fairy tales and wonder, I watched her slowly open the box.
As she opened the lid, there, nestled inside the velvet case was a beautiful purplish stone surrounded by diamonds. I thought that surely this would put a smile on my mothers face. I waited for my mother to turn around and return my father's embrace; just like in the movies. Instead of hugs, my mother snapped the box closed and ran; crying, from the room.
It wasn't until many years later that I understood my mother's reaction to the ring. You see, my father was famous for quitting every job he ever had and since he had just quit his most current job, my parents could not even afford to feed my brothers and sister and I; let alone buy a shiny opal ring surrounded by diamonds.
I am often reminded of this event when I hear someone say they can not afford to invest in themselves. People can't seem to find the money to buy a self-help book, take a class, hire a coach, go to counseling, go back to school (the list is endless) but they will find a way to pay for cable, buy that new video game, the latest gadget, or the last round during happy hour.
Life truly is all about choices! The choices you make today can bring you closer to success or move you farther away from success. You can choose to turn off the TV and read a book. You can also choose to watch the TV to find out who won the dance contest or got a date with the bachelor. One choice will bring you closer to success and one will prolong your success. Shopping and presents are fine for awhile, but success will give you a permanent smile!
Just a thought!
