Grab A Bag of Dimes and GO!!!

Picture
Have you ever had a limiting belief about something you believe you cannot do?

I had never attended any of my high school reunions, mostly because it just didn’t seem that important to me and I felt no reason to dwell on my high school days.  I had moved forward with my life and a reunion simply seemed like going backwards to me.  When I received an invitation for my 25th high school reunion my aunt asked me if I was going to attend.

I told her that I was not planning to attend and she asked me “why.”  I tried to explain to her that high school did not hold good memories for me.  If you attend a school that has a lot of money and you don’t have money it can be tough.  I was always begging dimes from people and once I would collect 10 dimes I would have enough money to eat lunch, as a dollar went a long way in the 70"s!

I told Aunt Judy that I was always so hungry and I was always bumming dimes from people.  I told her I didn’t want to go to the reunion and be reminded that I was always asking people for dimes.”  To which my aunt replied, “Oh for heaven sake, take a bag of dimes and go!”

That was some of the best advice I have ever gotten.  I followed her advice and went to the reunion (without the bag of dimes) and to my surprise, no one brought up anything about money. I had many people tell me that they remembered how kind I was, or how thoughtful I was or how I was the only person that used to talk to them on the bus.  It was my “positive” that they remembered, not my “negative”!

What is the limiting belief in your life?  If you are ready to create a New Beginning to reduce or end all of your limiting beliefs you must first discover what is holding you back.

My advice to you would be “take a bag of dimes and go!”
