Congratulations, you finally did it; you took that leap of faith and started your own business! You found something you are truly passionate about and decided to go into business for yourself.
Once you started working your business, you may have discovered that there are some aspects of the business that you love, and then there are the things you dread doing.
The mundane tasks like filing, bookkeeping, emails, blogging, etc. can sometimes keep us from doing the things we love about our business. Even though these tasks can be mundane, we all know they need to be done. Have you ever found yourself putting off these not-so-favorite tasks and before you know it, you are so far behind you feel like you will never catch up?
Do you find yourself deleting emails without reading them, putting off balancing your checkbook, and even hiding the mail in a closet? You keep telling yourself that “you will get to it” but that day never seems to arrive?
If this sounds like you, what you are avoiding may be affecting your business!
What excuses are you giving yourself to continue avoiding these important tasks?
> Are you too busy?
> You can’t afford an assistant?
> You don’t have enough time in your day?
> You don’t have the energy?
If you knew that you could triple your income if you stopped avoiding these tasks, would you be able to find a way?
Putting systems in place to streamline the day to day office work can greatly enhance your work output. When the mail arrives, consider having a system that will allow you to trash it, shred it, or file it. Once you file it, you simply need to look at the files once a month and tackle the job at hand.
Getting organized can be the New Beginning you need to find more time on your calendar. More time means more opportunity to do the things you love about your business and less time stressing about the things you are avoiding.
