I am here to remind you that it's not what happens to you that matters, it's what you do with what happens.
I am a Life Sensei who understands what it’s like to feel haunted by the past. Like many women, I've carried shadows from childhood that used to cast long, ghostly shapes over my dreams. But instead of letting them define me, I faced them head-on. I broke through my limiting beliefs, transforming each one into fuel for a new life. |

As a child, I learned to keep secrets. Secrets that included the mental, verbal and physical abuse that escalated to sexual abuse by the age of 12. At the time, I had no way of knowing that these secrets kept me feeling powerless over my painful childhood experiences.
When I learned how to take my power back, I promised myself that I would spend the rest of my life teaching other women how to take back their own power! |
Because of the secrets I was keeping, I was looking for a way to stop feeling powerless and that way led me to study Martial Arts.
In 1998 I started my own business teaching self-defense to women; it was called W.A.V.E. (Women Against Violent Encounters). As my business transitioned into the work I do now, I created my signature program of Mastering Your Beliefs. Mastering Your Beliefs is a tool for changing any circumstance in your life. |

My clients lovingly refer to me as their “Sensei” a title from my days as a student, competitor and teacher in the Martial Arts. I have taken the metaphysical (non-physical) teachings of the martial arts and use them to share opportunities for women to learn where their true power comes from. It is internal power, not external power that allows us to create our reality. Once a woman realizes that her identity is not based on what she experienced but on how she chooses to respond to those experiences, she can transform her life. By embracing the metaphysical principles of the martial arts; such as mindfulness, resilience, and inner strength, a woman can reconnect with her authentic self and release the limitations imposed by past events.

Our Deepest FearOur deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves “who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence liberates others. Marianne Williamson |
